I live nearby and enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables to study and be able to get ice cream and French fries multiple times per week (and inviting friends to join me who would also purchase). I’ve also asked multiple employees if it was okay for me to sit there for extended periods and they’ve never had an issue. Today the owner approached me extremely rude right off the bat saying that I could not sit there without purchasing. I explained that I intended to buy an ice cream when I was ready, that I never sit if anyone is waiting for tables (all 8 remaining tables were empty), and that I purchase things multiple times per week, but that I would leave if she preferred. She continued to be extremely rude and condescending and when I said I no longer wanted to spend money there she snarkily replied “that’s what I thought.” Unbelievably rude to a neighbor who has supported and promoted the business despite the crazy prices and mediocre food.

I am very displeased with my visit on 7/9/26. The girl who served my ice cream gave me ice cream that was half melted then refused to let me swap it. I have supported this business far too long for such bad service. Her excuse was that all the ice cream is melted and I cannot swap. The cup wasn’t even full and they threw a bunch of sprinkles on to cover the fact that there was no ice cream in the cup. I wasted $6.88 on a melted cup of ice cream. I’m never coming back again. I’m so disappointed.

Nice little stand with standard American fare and some ice cream treats. Food was a bit slow and oddly enough they put condiments on for you completely. So if you're picky about how much ketchup/mustard/kraut you get then this might be frustrating. Had a nice outside dining area, and within a close walk of some other parks which is nice

BE CAREFUL!!! They handed me a fake bill for change. It looked old with some parts ripped and scotch taped but the paper itself was new with uneven white margins all around, like someone did a poor job cutting it and tried to make it look old and used. When I asked for another bill, the supervisor or the manager (old lady) got defensive and blatantly said " we didn't give you this money ". Lady, you weren't even there when your employee handed it to me and you better thank me and check every bill in your circulation before you get in trouble. Didn't want to continue arguing over five bucks and tossed it in garbage, but this is not how you interact with customers.

Went with a friend and ordered two scoops of a Perry's (less than $5) and it was the perfect cool down treat! The service was prompt and the staff professional. They also have an large food menu, but that will have to be for another visit/review. The parking lot can feel a little cramped, but it's a nice spot with outdoor seating.
